Week In Review
I believe I signed off last week with “never a dull moment.”
Boy, you can say that again.
Three forces are dominating markets right now: biofuel policy, trade, and geopolitics.
Biofuel policy is essentially decided — we’re just waiting on the official numbers, likely in the next few weeks.
Trade, particularly with China, looked like it was moving out of purgatory and toward the promised land — until a SCOTUS ruling threw tariff authority back into question. Add this weekend’s developments, and the relationship appears strained once again.
And now geopolitics enters to muddy the waters even further.
While neither I — nor anyone else — has definitive answers for what the week ahead holds, here are a few thoughts as we step into not only a new week, but a new month, under a dense cloud of uncertainty.
