Making American Agriculture Great Again

After a few dismal days of waiting, we finally have some tangible details coming out of last week’s U.S.-China meetings in Beijing.

According to a White House fact sheet, China committed to purchase at least $17 billion annually of additional U.S. agricultural products through 2028 — separate from prior soybean purchase commitments — while also restoring access for U.S. beef and poultry exports.

The broader agreement also established new U.S.-China Boards of Trade and Investment, alongside commitments tied to rare earth supply chains, Boeing aircraft purchases, and broader efforts aimed at improving long-term economic stability between the two countries.
