Feedstock Demand Hits a Record as RVO Drives Production

May soybean oil demand reached an all-time high of 1.434 billion pounds, up 17% from April's 1.224 billion and up 40% from the 1.025 billion consumed in May 2025.

The prior record — 1.283 billion in March — lasted all of eight weeks.

Through the first five months of 2026, biofuel producers consumed 5.98 billion pounds of soybean oil—up 53% from the same period last year.
