My best intentions of sharing a daily recap got sidelined by full days of experiences you truly have to see to believe.

I’ll be sending more in-depth reports in the coming weeks, but for now, here are a few photos that capture some of my favorite—and most memorable—moments from the back half of the week.

First up: yesterday’s visit to a large, family-operated farm near Novo Mutum. It was one of the most insightful and compelling experiences I’ve had.

Real questions. A real producer. It doesn’t get much better than that—aside from needing Gabe to translate everything.

Luiz Carlos and his family farm 10,000 hectares (25,000 acres) in Mato Grosso: first crop soybeans and double crop corn.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip - a John Deere hat, bottle opener, and a Bolsonaro bumper sticker to boot.

Driving across Mato Grosso, it quickly became clear why crop estimates are pushing well north of 180 mmt. The crop looked phenomenal, and we didn’t see a single field in poor condition.
